A lot of students want to cook but feel embarrassed because they never learned basics like chopping onions, cooking rice, or seasoning food. I think beginner recipes should be very clear and forgiving. My first “real” meal was fried rice with egg, frozen vegetables, soy sauce, and leftover rice.
